Access Details

Paramrudra Access Details - The Access Details for the computational resources of Param Rudra Supercomputer is as follows:

  1. Account Creation
    • To begin using Paramrudra BOSON, you need to get an account first. Apply here. Depending on your category, the account creation process may be different:
    • Send the duly filled account request form with the signature of the faculty member (the research advisor) to: paramrudra@bose.res.in

      You will receive an email to your official ID from the Paramrudra Boson Support team regardining fruther payment process and account creation.

    Individual user accounts will be provided to all faculty members. All users (including DPR members and non-DPR members) will be billed for their usage of this facility with effect from 1st December 2025. The list of DPR members is enclosed. The rates for various categories as approved by the Competent Authority is provided below.:

  4. Payment & Access Terms

    Prepaid Mode Only: All usage must be prepaid; access will be suspended upon credit exhaustion:

      2. Validity Period: Prepaid credits expire after 6 months.
      3. Extension requests must be submitted at least 1 month prior to expiry.
  5. Compute Time Allocation for Host Institute Faculty
      1. Faculty must utilize approved internal/external projects to access compute time.
  6. Policy Review & Compliance
      1. Policies and usage patterns will undergo periodic review to ensure fairness and efficiency..
  7. Credit Utilization & Extensions
      1. Users must ensure prepaid credits are utilized before expiry.
      2. Extension requests require 1 month’s advance notice.
  8. Serial Job User Access
    • The system should prioritize parallel jobs, as per CDAC guidelines. For Serial Jobs: Users must submit a justifiable proposal for approval by the Competent Authority.
  9. Experimental Job User Access
    • Experimental users must submit justifiable proposals for approval by the Competent Authority, including evidence of prior system usage and relevant publications, to access serial or parallel jobs.
  10. Dormant Account Policy
    • Accounts dormant for three consecutive months will be deactivated. Reactivation: will require a written request with proper justification.
  11. Fair Share Storage Policy
    • Automatic deletion of unused scratch areas for over 03 months. Users must ensure data backups.
